Common Powder Materials for Paints & Coatings

1. Calcium Carbonate (CaCO₃)

Functions: Main filler to reduce production cost; improves smoothness, whiteness, and dry film strength.

Types:

PCC (Precipitated Calcium Carbonate): Fine particles, good dispersion, suitable for high-end paints.

GCC (Ground Calcium Carbonate): Cost-effective, widely used in interior wall paints.

Nano Calcium Carbonate: Enhances opacity and film density.
